Rupea is mighty fortress on an hill above the village of Rupea. The view is marvelous and on a very clear clear day even the Carpathian Mountains should be visible. The fortress is also an attraction for small kids.

The fort was renovated some time ago and it looks much better now. There is a small entrance free, easily accessible by car, large enough parking. Nice activity in a sunny day.

Built in an imposing strategical position this recently restored castle has a lot to offer to the visitor. Intact bastions and walls. Even living quarters and a dungeon

This is a watch tower that was part of the old city fortress. It is on a small hill and requires a bit of climbing up.

Appears to have been overly renovated - it looks almost unreal. It looks amazing on the hill, but we decided not to come in. It costs 10 lei and appears to be quite large inside.
