While not as big as the Egyptian museum in Cairo, it reveals the influence of Rome on ancient Egypt. Our tour guide (Zahraa Adel Awad) was very knowledgeable and make this visit an exceptional experience.

Suprisingly interesting and varied museum showing artifacts from the range of eras that have occupied Alexandria over the centuries. The underwater sea wall discoveries are particularly fascinating.

By no means the largest museum in Egypt, Alexandria still has a very unique history that is less insular than that of Ancient Cairo, Luxor, Memphis and other Nile Valley civilizations.
