A wonderful view of the Mediterranean Sea. Photo perfect pictures location. Fort has a long walk to go up, so we didn't climb up. Amidst the ruins you can see the blue turquoise Sea
This fort was built on the ruins of the ancient pharos (lighthouse in Greek). It is a nice walking for an hour or so and enjoying the cool breeze from Mediterranean sea. Also a good spot for photography. The fort is well preserved.
Went on a Friday so it was busy but there is lots of space to wander around. Access to lots is the fort. It has great views of both the sea and Alexandria. Only 60le for foreigners.

The grounds and history holding are in immaculate condition. To walk through the tunnels and sea the Mediterranean just as they would have hundreds of years ago is astounding. A beautiful representation of the many cultural influences in this region.
