Every time I visit Al-Hammra, there is something profound that one comes across, may it be a painting exhibition or a stage drama or a musical show. I love this versatility of Al-Hammrah Art Center. Sometimes the exhibitions are quite ordinary and sometimes very good but that is always the case with art exhibitions. I was there to attend a... More

I visited this place with my friend to watch play Siachen written by Anwar Maqsood. A play Siachen was telling us story of army and sacrifices of Pakistanis. Theater was very outstanding and have a good security. Place is good for families to watch decent dramas or play. I enjoy a lot with my friends and Siachen drama was amazing.

Usually not a place that you can plan for special visit. Usually exhibitions are planned here, School or college functions are arranged. Even at times Singers do conduct Concerts here. I had the opportunity to attend the concert but the sitting is on bricked steps. Usually a fine place for normal rates.

It was designed by Pakistan's leading architect Nayyar Ali Dada, who also conceived the Islamabad Serena Hotel and the Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore. This unique building is clad in red bricks as the name Alhamra, meaning a woman in red garb, indicates. It is designed on... More

The design is unique and have great potential of being a landmark building. The maintenance is much to be desired. The landscaping is also not properly planned.
