Lovely tranquil grounds and beautiful old temple. Worth the small entrance fee to stroll around and enjoy the serenity.

Very nice temple, one of the best in Luang Prabang, with beautiful ornate mosaics. Some parts are in need of refurbishment but overall the whole complex is lovely!

As many temples and pagodas you might have been to, the motifs and paintings on the Wat Xieng Thong temple walls are beautiful and not found in most places. Highly recommend going here if you are in Luang Prabang

Beautiful temple complex by day or night. Japanese cut glass mirror mosaic murals twinkle in the sun. Deserted but well lit at night - don't miss it.

There are only so many wats you can visit in SE Asia but if you're going to visit one in Luang Prabang this is a lovely option. It has the most amazing tiling outside and great paint detail. Some information about its history would have been appreciated to better understand what you're seeing.

Located along the main street of Luang Prabang and its entrance fee is 20,000 kip if i remember well. It is a very peaceful place with a location close to the river and great to stroll around the grounds and in and out of the temples. Don't miss the stunning mosaic of a large Bodhi tree located on the exterior... More
