This Wat being gold makes it stand out from the other temples in town. I spent more time gazing at this building than all the others because of the gold exterior. Huge doors at each end with intricate carvings make you wonder what you are missing behind them. Like the others you cannot see inside which is a real shame... More

I was impressive by the decoration on the temple's roof and pillars. It was really high sense of art. I was stood by for 10 minutes to just watch the decoration. Walking inside also gave me special spiritual feelings. There were other visitors kneed down to salute Buddha statues.

If you walk East To West on this road you will find most of the Temples in Luang Prabang on either side. A great find among more great finds.

A beautifully elegant temple near end of the main street, with elaborate gilded decoration. Well worth a visit.

Probably the coolest looking wat in luang prabang. They have many designs on the inside and outside. The gold wat also has a lot of cool designs on the interior.

This is also a beautiful temple and one of many along Sakkarin Road in Luang Probang. The btempme was great but like many the ground were somewhat messy.

Stunningly beautiful. Take lots of memory on your camera. I like anything that glitters so this was a must for me.

Loved the murals here and the masculine and feminine statues at entrance. Situated near nightmarkets and short distance from river. I actually went here twice I was so impressed.

I took a ferry across Mekong river to reach the village. There are no crowds at all and I walked from one end to the other visiting various ancient Buddhist shrines like Wat Xieng Maen, Wat Had Siew and other temples. It's unusually quite with people enjoying with their daily routine. There was stillness around though walk through the forest area... More
