Beautiful and artistic weavings. Specifically a series of hangings combining Lao temple designs with color concepts of artist Mark Rothko. Stunning

Bring USD when shopping here. There is an abundance of beautiful scarves, soft furnishings, cloth clutches etc in traditional and modern designs. A silk shawl is upwards of USD 100, depending on size and intricacy of weaving. As a social enterprise, Ock Pop Tok offers you the opportunity of contributing to the longevity of the individual home weavers livelihood. There... More

The workmanship in the products cannot be beaten. Everything, I do mean everything here that you purchase here will endure and give you lasting memories. It is truly an art that you see and feel in their products. The Night Market may have trinkets for you to buy but for something lasting, do your quality purchasing at the Ock Pop... More

Visited one of the Ock Pop Tok Stores with friends while exploring the Luang Prabang old quarter. The store was very interest and looked different from the other stores with the wares being displayed very artistically. My sister and I visited each of OPT's three stores: the two on Sakkaline Road and the flagship at the Living Craft Centre. We bought cotton or silk scarves at each location. While the stores carry items from the same collections, there is some variation in stock. We favored the indigo dyed cotton scarves and shawls, which were super soft.... More

Ock Pop Tok, which means East Meets West, is a Laos based social enterprise working primarily in the field of textiles, handicrafts and design. The store is worth a visit just to look at and appreciate the beautiful Lao woven fabrics on display. The bulding housing the store is worth a look on its own. The staff are very helpful,... More

You get to see some of the beautiful local fabrics. Ask a staff to tell you about each of the tribes and how they make their fabrics. It's very interesting! Also, have them tell you the take of the Naga.

Ock Pop Tok means "East Meets West", and they specialise in Laos based textiles, handicrafts and designs. There is two shops located in Luang Prabang (The Boutique & The Flagship Store). Bought a beautiful wall hanging depicting the spirit and natural colours of Lao. Recommended for a visit when in Luang Prabang. Purchases help support Lao textiles and artisans.

Thank Moz M
