This Tripoli''s big site, which seems to be still in use by the military. Don't let that scare you though. They keep to themselves, though parts of the castle are no off limits to visitors.

Look for the massive modern military presence at the citadel. Several of the stair cases are closed to visitors and the military has closed some sections for their use. Entrance was free. Great views overlooking the city.
