This is a unique and glorious site in Naqsh-e Jahan square which was built in Safavid period(about 400 years a ago).It is a private mosque for the family of the king and deposit of many ordinary mosques does not have any minaret and yard.

This mosque and all sophisticated mosaic art works both inside and outside are very nice .It is one of the masterpiece of Safavid period which was built in 1618. It seems like a gem in eastern part of Meydane Nagshe Jahan.

this mosque was build just for the females of the Sheikh and for this matter it does not have a minaret. also for this matter, it is super delicate in details and a must see in Esfahan.

It's not the bigger neither the oldest mosque in Esfahan but for me it's the most fascinating. During the last hours of daylight the colour of the tiles changes every minute, just sitting on the perimeter of the sole indoor space and watching the light...More
