Top ways to experience The Dubai Mall
The area
Neighbourhood: Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.

Dubai Mall it’s not a mall it’s lifestyle and everything else
What you can’t do in this place? Watching Movies there is a screen cinema. Like the sea side? There is the best Aquarium in the world with most kinds of fish. To relax and enjoy your time with friends and even solo you have so many options to choose between. Just get your own things and enjoy your time

    Unreal.
Every time I come here it knocks me for six, such a clean, beautiful exceptional Mall, with everything on offer from an indoor Aquarium, Zoo, ice rink, cinema, hundreds of eateries, hundreds of premium luxury stores and the more affordable ones too, all mixed into one amazing Mall that creates such a wow factor, lower floor Fashion Avenue is next level and I visited the toilets there as well, OMG gold taps, marble from floor to ceiling, gold chandeliers and ornate lighting and absolutely immaculate as you'd expect from Dubai, you'd pay handsomely to use these facilities anywhere in the world but in Dubai, there is no charge, it's just the way they roll, visit, enjoy soak it all up and just think how lucky you are to visit such an establishment. The Souk is also beautiful and smells amazing as you walk around it. NB : top tip, use the Apple shop for your Dubai fountain shows viewing, we went to the 1pm showing, best seats in the house.

    Dubai mall
Dubai mall is the largest mall in the world. As expected from the largest mall, it has shops for each brand one can think of. In addition, there are multiple attractions in the mall to keep families and kids occupied, such as dubai acqualrium, ice rink, kidzania, haunted house, dino fossil, waterfall etc. To be honest, one full day is less to explore the mall completely, but atleast budget 7 to 8 hours for the same.

Allocate 1 Full Day to Explore This Shopping Mall!
I visited Dubai for the first time in June 2023, I stayed at the Palace Downtown Hotel, located right next door to this mall. I walked into the Dubai Mall at 10am and spent the entire day in the mall, including going up to the observation deck of the Burj Khalifa! In the evening at 7pm, I had dinner at the Tribes Carnivore restaurant located on the 3rd floor of the Dubai Mall and they gave me a table located on their outdoor terrace. From here, I had the best views of the Dubai Fountain, which comes alive every 30 minutes from 6pm to 11pm daily. This mall is ENORMOUS and very clean and well-lit. If you come to Dubai for the first time, this mall should be high on your priority list for must-visit places in this city! The Dubai Aquarium, located inside this mall, is also a great attraction. There is a Chinatown inside this mall as well! The famous indoor waterfall with the silver divers is another unique attraction and great for taking photos for your Instagram account. This mall is really AMAZING!

    Stunning Mall
I visited Dubai mall today, after an absence of 4 years. My visit was focused on the newly opened China town on the 1st floor, Opposite Ski Circuit. The town looks stunning and well-constructed. There is a spa, food court and fun stores. It is directly connected to Address Fountain Views hotel. It is worth a visit. I remained in the mall for the full day, strolling around and enjoying the biggest mall. You will find everything for the whole family. I had lunch at the famous Cheesecake factory. SEE photos

    Amazing Mall
We heard a lot about the Dubai Mall and visited to see the site. The location is next to the Fountains and Burj Khalifa. The mall is enormous and has every store and a variety of cost as well. Tons of restaurants and activities. Family friendly with a lot of security and assistants to ensure people find their way. A must see and a must visit. We spent 4 hours there but could have spent 4 days.

For us it was more 10,000 steps day 😂 Good place to past the time
A huge mall like they say, easy to find stores and walk by. Many brands with updated collections. Even the aquarium is located in the mall. Get prepared to walk, my husband wanted to have Michelin star food, so that was one of the reasons we went first. The cheapest Michelin star restaurant available in china town, good bubble tea from kOI. Over all good place to past time

    Huge and Elaborate Shopping Mall
The Dubai Mall is impressive in size and in appearance. Every shop imaginable can be found in this massive place. There are also a number of restaurants to choose from including casual and more upscale. It is also home to the Dubai Fountain and the Burj Khalifa. Also easily accessible from the Metro.

Fun, gigantic mall next to Dubai Fountain
This mall is huge and has everything, including an ice skating rink and an aquarium (with eagle rays, guitar fish, nursing shark, saw fish). It is next to Burj Khalifa, and overlooks part of the Dubai Fountain. Nice food options (including a food court), a Souk (in air conditioned comfort), lots of restaurants, lots of luxury goods, toy shops, children's activities, a waterfall, a Waitrose, movie theatres, Apple shop, Huawei shop and more... It's easy to get lost in here. The only thing is that it gets kind of crowded by 11 am.. There's also not a lot of seating.

    Lives up to the hype
You can't go to Dubai and not go to Dubai Mall whether it's for shopping, food or leisure activities! It definitely lives up to the hype although a couple of pointers, especially for families with young kids: 1. It can get very busy in the food courts from around 7pm onwards so avoid eating at that time if you can. We had to change our food choice in some cases as the line to buy food was too long 2. Lifts are not as common as escalators so if you have a stroller, make sure you know where the lifts are or be prepared to fold the stroller to go on escalators.

Walking into Dubai Mall, I felt like I had stepped into another world. The sheer scale of the place is mind-boggling; it's more like a city than a shopping center. As I wandered through its vast corridors, each turn seemed to reveal something even more impressive than the last.

Did not enjoy this mall at all. Multiple stores of the same brand made it bigger than it should be.

Probably good mall if you're into the most expensive designer stores.

Unfriendly security guards as well.

Was good to visit as we went in aquarium and had a wander round. Felt like it needed more seating (especially near the fountain area). Fountains not running in the day, only later (6pm onwards). Lots of high end shops but we were bored after 1hr (we have Trafford centre 30mins from home). Very clean and good view of the Burj Khalifa.

Excellent mall. Huge range of shops. Can be overwhelming with the vastness of the mall - hard to know where you are going initially. I would recommend downloading the Dubai mall app in advance - it gives the list of retailers and their floor location. I suggest giving yourself a few hours at least to visit as it is very vast and there is so much to see. Popular retailers such as Zara had very long queues for women’s changing rooms - waiting at least 30 minutes or longer to use changing room. When departing, there is a specific exit for taxi pick ups. You can also use the cinema parking P3 exit to get a taxi when leaving. Easy to get lost, so recommend keeping an eye on the signage within the mall and downloading the Dubai mall app in advance.

What a nightmare! After I got my UAE ID card I had to link my permanent SIM number to it. Staying at Waldorf DIFC I was told the Dubai malls Etisalat shop is the closest…..this mall is impossible to navigate! Terrible signage. The electronic sign boards are designed for younger people with better eye sight. Only few information counter and I had to ask anyone from cleaners to security guards on where this Etisalat shop was….found it after nearly 30min of being pointed all over the place!!!!!

The zoning of the mall and the signage are just the worst I’ve seen. Been to many walls all over the world never once got lost like this.

Then they have these designated Uber pick up/ drop off points which are inside their carpark and the congestion was mad! So many exits inside the carpark were closed and we crawled inside the park for about 25min before able to get out and that was after having waited 20min for my Uber driver to get to the pick up point!!!!!

As for the mall itself. Modern huge but nothing extraordinary. Brands here you can get anywhere…..not worth the visit for me.

You can spend a whole day here just browsing and eating/drinking. Quiet and calm, loads to look at and oh so clean. Great way to escape the desert heat.

Nothing prepares you for the size of this place ... it's vast. The boulevards are so wide they drive large electric cars down them. The fountain wall sculpture is gravity defying. The aquarium is magical and mesmerisering. Signage is not brilliant, it's easy to get lost, but there are concierge desks dotted around.

The array of shops is all you could want, from the "everyday" to the "unaffordable"! Loads of restaurants and ultra clean toilets.

A must visit attraction in downtown Dubai.

My recent visit to The Dubai Mall was incredible. The sheer scale and variety of attractions were astounding, from the mesmerizing Dubai Aquarium to the captivating VR Park. Shopping was a delight with an array of high-end and boutique stores. Dining options were diverse, catering to all tastes.

The Fountain Show was a spectacular end to the day, combining music, water, and lights in perfect harmony. The mall’s ambiance, coupled with exceptional customer service, made the experience truly memorable. Whether for shopping, dining, or entertainment, The Dubai Mall offers an unparalleled experience. I can’t wait to visit again.

The Dubai Mall what charismatic mall Dubai has built it the largest mall of Dubai. Even if I combine 5 Malls of Mumbai it will not be equivalent to Dubai Mall. We kept on walking from here to there but every time we realized that we cannot cover the mall if we keep walking 24 hours also. My wife who is a shopping meniac . She was so tired that she just want to return back to hotel. So we just had 2 cappuccino and left. but Dubai mall we will be back to complete our shopping.
