This place is truly colossal. 4 levels in some places, spotlessly clean fully air conditioned a shoppers paradise. On site multi screen cinema, huge food hall, ice skating ( yes ice skating) huge aquarium, if you can't find it here they don't make it. You can't do it all in a day so choose wisely. You can also access the... More

Visited on a Wednesday afternoon. Not too crowded, huge range of stores. We arrived by metro- transfer to stores resembled the transfer though a major international airport, the place is massive. Lots to do, see and eat.

Too large to see it all in one day. Very cool experience. Must see the fountains outside. The metro meets this mall.

With it being right next to the Burj Khalifa and fountain it's impossible to not visit the mall. It's huge, just huge. Very easy to get lost but also so much to see. Even if you're not into shopping like me there is plenty to look at and enjoy. The aquarium, the waterfall and the food court for example :)... More

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
