Neighbourhood: Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighbourhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.

The mall is small but definitely worth a visit if you are visiting the Jumeirah area. It's designed like an old Italian market place and has a similar laid back vibe to it. Unlike other malls in Dubai it's not that crowded and has a nice relaxing atmosphere. The shopping and dining options are limited but adequate for the average visitor. Commute to and from the mall is quite easy thanks to the public bus with the bus stop also being right in front of the mall.

Dubai is all about shopping. January is the month of the Dubai Shopping Festival. If you find yourself in the Dubai Mall, you’ll experience shopping madness with thousands of people, traffic jams in the arrival and departure etc...
Mercato is different. I would call it “slow shopping” experience. It is not that big and crowded. It doesn’t mean you cannot buy nice stuff there. There are plenty of shopping opportunities.
Moreover, there are several places where you can grab a bite. Some really tasty stuff.
All in all, shopping without anxiety and the need of a map.

It's very small beautifully designed mall. The interior is based on Italian theme. There are some branded shops like Diesel, Gap and Nike etc. The main anchors are supermarket Spinneys and Vox multiplex. Due to lesser crowd it is very ease to move around. The beauty of this mall is that one can reach in less than two minutes from car to your preferred shop which is impossible in bigger malls.

Nicee and not so crowded mall to hangout with family.
I went with my 3 year old kid. We came across a very interesting hobby store, happy hoop. Lot of activities stuff for kids of every age and even for adults. We spent around 60 mins in the shop and engaged in coloring activities.
I would suggest you to go if you love DIY activites with kids.
The price range was economical and staff was friendly.

Mall is fantastic, deco is awesome. Avoid the virgin megastore...if you have to go, avoid the sales guy called mohd in camera section....most unhelpful. Spinneys is great. Also has a good cinema.

This is a relatively small mall but with a good array of retail and food and beverage outlets, plus a good sized Spinneys and cinema.
The main atrium is Italian themed and very light. It is particularly pleasant at Christmas.
There is plenty of parking.

Compare to Dubai Mall and Mall of Emirates, this one is quite small but very quite and nicely maintained. We came here to watch a movie in Vox multiplex. It is very easy to get in and get out of this compact mall compare to big ones. Normally parking is not a problem over here.

Nice and small Mall with a very selected number of shops. Not as crowded as the other malls, but well maintained and easy to reach. Go there, if you want to see selected shops and good restaurants. All in an italian style and names of the different areas in there.

Very nice small mall, was first time visit.
It's small in size, not a lot of shops, but the building is well built, very beautiful design.

We lived in Dubai, years back and this used to be our favourite mall. Was always quaint with European architecture. We visited this time on holiday and nothing much has changed. Less crowded and smaller mall compared to the other big ones. Decent food court and shopping outlets.

Our Family of 12 will be staying at your hotel in August of this year, breakfast is not included, the breakfast you offer, would that be continental or full American breakfast? also would 12 persons be difficult to seat at one time and at what cost per person please.

In case you are planning to visit Dubai in August, reconsider as that is the LEAST favourable time for doing so.
