Dont waste your time. Whilst it's nice to see the show is far too short and therefore disappointing. If you are at the Mall when it's on then fine but don't go out of your way to visit for a 2 minute show.

Watching these huge fountains float and dance to music was mesmerising. They fire up every hour on the hour and can be watched from either indoor or outdoor venues.

Stopped by to see the Water Fountains on the way to the top of the Burj Khalifa. Music was great and the fountains were HUGE in comparison to the Bellagio in Vegas. Music ranges from English to Arabic and it's definitely worth a watch.

It operates once in half an hr. The first show started at 6 pm and was only for 1.5 mins. The 6;30 show was for 4.5 mins. Of course when the fountains are on, its a treat to the eyes. But the wait is too much and it is excessively crowded. The exit is extremely mis managed. You just have... More

We enjoyed a delicious meal at Thiptara in the Palace hotel. We chose this restaurant for the proximity to the Fountains which did not disappoint. The music was beautiful and the fountains stunning. The icing on the cake was the spectacular Burj Khalifa which was lit up and so beautiful.

Can be crowded most of the time except summer. Always one english followed by an arabic song. People usually move on after one show and its ideal to be in the center to see the water fountain at its best.

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
