We did NOT want to do dune bashing so we did much research and booked with Platinum Heritage for a camel safari. It was fun, camel was a comfortable ride (I am 60), and we rode for about 40 minutes at sunset. Such a wonderful memory. Then saw a falconry show that was very good followed by dinner.

The desert is at 30 minutes by car from Dubai center. This is an attraction that you must do and especially the safari in the BIG dunes. Average cost 90 euros in VIP. (GetYourGuide) Sand boarding, Camels trip, Shisha smoking, Diner under the stars, Belly dancers, which make your trip really Arabic.

We drove out to the Conservation Reserve early in the morning. Spotted numerous Arabian Oryx and Arabian gazelle which were quite beautiful. There were also some birds near the waterholes and the overall scenery was gorgeous.

Visited here last year and was amazing, the car ride although scary was alot of fun with alot of girls screaming!! The atmosphere at the spot was great with a gorgeous Arabian dancer and the Camel ride was fun too. Got a hina tattoo and brought some little sand bottles... all in all a great night!

We booked a tour and it was a very pleasant experience. Falcon show, blazing through the dunes (nothing for a full stomach), sunset stop and a nice barbecue evening with all kinds of entertainment, including belly dancing. Was all worth the money and the driver was first class. Pick up from the hotel and back at the front door again
