The tour was informative and the restoration of this place is pretty amazing. I would definitely recommend getting on this tour if possible.

Fascinating to see such a well restored "villa" showing how luxurious the lifestyle was for the successful immigrant business families of late 19C. A small house museum with artifacts of 19C in an interesting part of Vina del Mare

Beautifully preserved mansion in the heart of Viña. A must-see for anyone who likes decorative arts museums. They have concerts and events throughout the year, and also a nice coffee shop with outdoor seating under the trees.

Beautiful place to enjoy a walk and take pictures! We went on a Saturday after 6pm and he was available to be in the gardens until approx 7.30pm. Anyway, I recommend checking the schedule to visit it.
Very nice place, very well maintained and admission is free.

The restoration of this century old building is commendable. We did not get to see much. What we saw, nice.

This was very close to the Fonck Museum which is definitely worth your time. When we visited, the Palacio Rioja was closed for reconstruction which, according to our guide, happens quite a lot.
The building was constructed for Fernando Rioja who acquired the property in 1906 after the initial home was destroyed by the destructive earthquake of 1906. The building started in 1909. It was later acquired by the city of Vina del Mar in 1956 and was turned into government offices and now a museum - primarily of French furniture which was inside the home.
We were not allowed to go inside but we would like to come back since we researched the place. At least we got some great photographs of a French palace in the middle of Vina del Mar.

Took a short tour of the restored palace conducted by a few students. Nice to see investment in the history of Chile.

The palace was a few blocks from the place I was staying so this was the first place I visited in Viña. It's small but completely free, with a small café on the ground floor. Very interesting building and history.

Our visit was brief. In spite of the sign in the foyer saying tours are available in English, there wasn’t one.
When we asked we were directed to the second floor where a tour was in progress, in Spanish.
We walked around by ourselves and looked at the mansion, quite interesting but there was no information. A self-guiding brochure would have helped and we’d be willing to pay.
