Great path

Outstanding trail. Very wide and well maintained. There weren't any holes, this is a great trail to go on if you're a runner.

nice ride with lovely views of the thunder bay river, which is the best part - not crowded, pets welcome on a leash

Bike paths are not that well marked. We got lost a few times. Riding on the shoulder of a busy road is not safe for kids. All bike paths should have clear BIG signs and paved for safety and guidance. I was not impressed at all. It will be the last time I visit the area.

We have been to the Alpena Bi-Path trails three times in the last month, and we leave more impressed each time. The views in some areas are breathtaking! We rode about 10 miles around Alpena the last time, includingA stretch down the breaker wall with the blue handrails along the Alpena harbor. You can see a lot of historic old... More

I haven't been on the entire Bi-Path, but the portion we use regularly works out great! We use it to bike into the downtown area during big events like the 4th of July, Maritime Festival, and Brown Trout Festival when parking near the event is at a premium. We park at Duck Park/Island Park lot on the corner of US-23... More

Well maintained cycling and walking path around the city, through some very picturesque areas, it's a great way to see town and get a little exercise at the same time.

The sleepy little town on Thunder Bay in Lake Huron is awakening. It has happened quietly, not with a bang bit a whisper. It began when Tom Kendziorski built the replica of a wooden water tower at the Island Park (aka Duck Park) on US 23 North of the city. Then he and a host of other volunteers built a... More
