This is a genuinely superb museum on the campus of the University of Michigan. While it regularly hosts exhibitions, reason enough to go is the permanent 20th century collection, spanning several rooms. Admission is free, with a $10 suggested donation.

The museum is pretty big and it is free. It is within walking distance from parking. You are allowed to take pictures but no flash.

This is the 200th anniversary of the University! The museum asked Alumni to loan some of their private art-- Picasso, Warhol , etc! The docents are fantastic and really add to the tour
