This place is electric and one of the top, if not the best stadium to watch college football in the US. Great place to visit and obtain lifetime memories.

This is one of the great football stadiums. It is enormous, with fans packed together on bleacher seats. The food is mediocre, and good luck reaching a concession stand after the game starts. Movement can be very challenging.
Having said that, there is no place I would rather be on a football Saturday. This is particularly the case when Michigan beats Ohio State, as it did last Saturday.

So much fun! First, the tailgate. Then, the walk to the stadium with 100's of people in maize and blue - so much school spirit! Then the stadium. Huge. All seats are amazing. Super close to your neighbors but everyone is so happy and friendly. Go Blue! Wolverines are amazing to watch. LOVED the doggo catching the frisbee during time outs! If you are a sports fan, or even if you are not, you should experience the big house at some point in your life. Not to be missed!!

Our first trip to see the “Big House”. The game was delayed for an hour because of lightning. Folks, if you never been GO!! This is an amazing stadium!! Yes, it is the Big House. Do get there early. Traffic is difficult. We took a city bus.Took us over an hour to get to stadium even though we were staying 10 minutes away. We used Uber to return to hotel. We had to walk East about 4 blocks then North 4 blocks to get an Uber. This is due to the roads they close. It was a blast!! No , I wasn’t rooting for Michigan, their fans were kind to us.Guessing if you are a Michigan State or Ohio State might be a different response. We were there for the Hawaii game. The place was electric!! It was hard not to get swept up in the excitement. First big time football my grandson has seen. He is 10 and a Michigan fan so he really got into the cheering ect.

Came to experience the 'magic' of the Big House but ..meh, very cramped seating, poor sound system, no beer, but Wolverine energy and history in the plus column.

Came here all the way from Florida to watch the NW vs Michigan game. The weather was prefect football weather in the upper 50s, low 60s. The crowd as announced at 109,500. It was my first time in the Big House and it was an awesome experience. Our seats were ok and the crowd was really into the game. The concessions were a little expensive and not the best quality.
One huge complaint is there is no alcohol sales at this stadium. UM needs to get with the times and open up that revenue stream.
Michigan had a big win and the band and crowd were into the game all 4 quarters. This is a top 10 location in the nation to watch a college football game!

We'd like to go inside the stadium in 1 week, and tours require 2 weeks advance purchase. Is there any way we can go inside the stadium to see it if we aren't part of a tour group?
And if you can't get in without a tour, are there any resell tour tickets you think we might be able to get? Didn't see any on stub hub or seat geek. thanks
Is gate 9 where I get the 1st Game Certificate? If so, what do I need to do the get it? Can I use a screen shot of the tickets?

I’m not sure which gate, but plenty of people to ask

Coming up from South Carolina for the Michigan Ohio State game. Staying at Embassy Suites in Livonia. Wondering if I can count on Uber to take us from the hotel to the Big House? Also how early do bars open for 12:00 games?

Uber can definitely get you from Livonia to Ann Arbor. I would do a test to get an approximate Uber cost based on trying on November 16 game day vs MSU. Most bars tend to open at 9a or 10a on game day. You might call a few to see their game day opening hours.

My son wants to see Michigan play Ohio State for his high school senior trip. So, we are driving from Georgia in November. I couldn't buy 4 tickets, so my son and a friend are going. Any tips on where we can drop them off? I didn't think of it earlier and now all rooms are book near the school. Any advice?

There is a grocery store they can walk from on Industrial (I think is the name) - it is a Lucky Mart or something like that.
Are cushions with a back brace allowed?
Thanks

Probably not. They also don’t allow clear purses like the NFL allows. Only cell phones and a wallet or what can fit in your pocket.

Where can you stand to se ether players arrive at the stadium before the game? Also where can you see the band march up to the stadium?

The players leave their hotel on buses and arrive straight to the stadium - they enter thru the tunnel into the j. Ira Harris Locker room. You can only see them boarding the buses at the hotel or leaving the buses at the tunnel. In regards to the band I forget the name of the building where they start but it’s on Hoover and they march play down the street thru the blue lot and also to the tunnel entrance. Many people see them along the way and some follow them.
Can you bring a basic SLR camera as long as the attached lens is 6 inches or less not extended. What are the specific rules on bringing cameras into the stadium

Does anyone know what section the opposing team marching band sits? About to buy tickets and do not want to be anywhere near them. Thanks!

I will be going to the Mich/SMU game this weekend! Where are the handicap spots close to the stadium! I use a cane and can't walk that far?

Lots of them, and they are close to the entrances. You will probably have to book a spot.
