Wow...besides a mosquito family reunion this place was amazing. Bring your bike...so many trails...so much to explore. Campsites are big and private...can't wait to camp here again..maybe this fall!

Read all the reviews and they were spot on. Camped here Aug 18,19 and 20 and wished it would've been longer. This was my first time here and I only live 30 min away, I just never realized they had such a big campground. They have two sections and we stayed on the 200's side. Next time I'll try the... More

We attended a 10 km volkswalk with about 40 others. There were two 5km loops available. These perambulated the many lakes there. Trails with natural surfaces were clear and easily walkable. Strollers or wagons would have a bumpy ride. They have camping spaces for vehicles or tents and many opportunities for using restrooms or getting water. There was at least... More

As with other Michigan State parks, Fort Custer did not disappoint. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts on a camping vacation, or as a day trip. Trails for hiking, biking, and equestrian are well marked and maintained. A lake with a sandy beach, concession stand, restrooms, changing areas make for a wonderful day at the beach. Canoe, paddleboat, and kayak rentals available.... More

We stayed in camp site 105, which conveniently and unknown to us has a little path that leads right to the blue line multi-use trail. That was lots of fun! It's a shady spot with mature trees. All the sites are very private, with trees and shrubs and undergrowth separating you from your neighbors. Aside from the happy noise of... More

Love this park! 3 different lakes, a river, and campsites. Lots of hiking and biking trails! Shady trees everywhere. Enjoy the peace, or rent a kayak at the beach!

We stayed two nights with our toddler in May 2016 and had a great time. Clean restrooms. Would be nice if the playground had more options for young children- it's very much designed for older kids. Even the swings were all really high.

My brother-in-law, who was a Vietnam War veteran, was recently buried in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Even in wintertime, the cemetery is stunning, and a touching tribute to those men and women who served their country. The setting is peaceful, in park-like surroundings, with rolling hills and natural beauty. Turning into the cemetery and seeing the Avenue of Flags was... More
