The only reason I was looking at this item was that it was close to the Runestone Museum, and I thought a photo of it would be a good addition to our trip photos. Not much here, folks, just a large statue! Go see the...More

This is what Alexandria is all about. They have moved it a block back from a busy intersection and now have a great parking lot, park kind of area next to it. Almost all Alex festivals take place here.

Big Ole is just that - BIG! It really is fun to try to figure out how to get all of him and people in the same picture. It's a great park, just across from the Runestone Museum and right along the Central Lakes Trail...More

Fun to visit Ole standing in the middle of a square. He is tremendous and well kept. People in Alex take their Viking heritage seriously.

Neat statue in downtown alexandria plenty of paking for those who want a photo by his feet. Nice place to walk around with lake agnes in the background. There are kinds of waterfowl birds just roaming around. This is a very nice town.

We had fun taking a photo of my husband in front of Ole and sending it via texts to friends with no attached explanation. It elicited interesting banter.
