Nice, unique home. Lots of beautiful wood. I've never seen a staircase like the one here and I've been to many house museums. Worth the $5.

Only a few blocks from the SPAM museum you can see the home of the Hormel's. Worth while stop to see the craftsmanship of time gone by. The house show how they lived not as high on the hog (pun) as some lived in east.

We had just been to the Spam museum (blocks away) and learned of the Spam creator - George Hormel - and his family living in this home. The staff there are friendly, helpful and were able to answer all questions I had about the home....More

Yup. Nowadays it's how fast they can slap together a house. In those days it's was all about craftsmanship. That's the first thing that struck me upon entering the historic home in Austin, MN. The museum is free, donations accepted. It's not far from the...More

We went on this tour because it was really close to the Spam Museum and we thought it was a waste to drive all the way there spending only at the museum. The overall tour was interesting. It was very stress free and the staff...More

Was just there for a wedding ceremony and reception, and the outside ceremony was absolutely gorgeous. Enough space to move, plenty of places to hide the bride until it's time, and the inside for the reception had plenty of space to eat and dance. All...More

Beautiful historic home that belonged to the founder of the Hormal Company. Furniture is original as the family went to California for retirement and left the house and it's furnishings to a group that kept it in tact, very nice addition to the SPAM museum
