I stayed at the Barron ranch for 2 weeks - a once in a lifetime chance to experience living in this beautiful area - and experience it we did. The whole family welcomed us into their lives so that we felt like friends and guests rather than tourists or visitors. We became part of the family - helping move sheep,... More

While doing a 10 state road trip my friend and I stopped by here. We were excited to ride horses in the Montana countryside. We were there early since the woman we booked with made it sound very difficult to get there; we were there an hour early and waited outside which was interesting to see the horses and countryside.... We took a two-hour trail ride with Paintbrush Adventures on a beautiful day in early October. The horses were gentle and our guide, a young woman from England, very pleasant. In general, this was an average trail ride although the scenery was quite lovely. The price was reasonable and making our reservation by phone was easy. A few notes: cash... More

We stayed on the Barron Ranch which is run by Wanda and Tiny who also have the Paintbrush Adventures. The guest lodge was fantastic and the hospitality is second to none. We got to participate in brandings and moving cattle as well as riding up the mountain. The latter being a great experience but scary. Wanda, Tiny and their family... More

We found Paintbrush Adventures by googling. I didn't see a lot of reviews but decided to give them a chance. We are so glad that we did. We booked a 1 hour trail ride and it was great! Our guides Carly and Lexi and their dog named "Dog" we're very informative about the area and very pleasant. We rode along... More

We've gone on several rides with Paintbrush Adventures ranging from day trail rides to rides where we camped up in the mountains for several nights. To spend time with Wanda and her husband is priceless....the stories, the history, the landscape, the wildlife, the memories are unbeatable. These people are the hardest working, have the most integrity, are the most interesting... More

We booked with Paintbrush adventures for a week of ranch days. City Slickers IV - Curse of the East coasters. We could not stay on the Ranch or in their Ranch house (which I heard is beautiful) along the Stillwater river (Fishermen usually book this far in advance) because it was booked. We stayed at another ranch 8 miles away... More

Our group of family and friends totaled 12 and we were easily accommodated on a glorious trail ride. The mountain view and river trail are gorgeous. The horses and equipment top notch. We enjoyed every minute of this experience and recommend it highly. For the record, most of us had no experience around horses. Wanda's horses and her staff are... More
