Drive-through adventure zoo's road leads visitors through several different 'lands' featuring Sandhill Cranes, antelope, deer and a large buffalo herd. Most of the animals freely roam this corner of the county. All can be seen from visitors' cars, but Wolf Woods section requires a short walk. The interactive nature exhibits can be explored hile out of the car.

This is not about excitement it's more about having a nice time observing nature. Watching the elk was our favorite part. At one point you can get out and walk to see some enclosures of wolves, bears, and owls. We got confused a couple times...More

Recently visited the safari park and the little gnats were terrible. We first visited the prairie dogs and noticed we were being attacked by little black bugs. We quickly tried to brush off and get back in the car but still carried some with us....More

Just west of Omaha, NE, is the Wildlife Safari Park, or also known as Lee G. Simmons Conservation Park and Wildlife Safari. It is a wonderful opportunity to view buffalo, elk, white-tailed deer, crane meadows -- and, of course, prairie dogs! Wolf Canyon is an...More

A great place to spend a couple of hours, drive thru, but take the walking hikes to really see some of the interesting parts of the park. Try to go on a cool morning when the animals are most active.

I don't care for zoos and seeing animals locked up behind bars and acting like bored prisoners. I thought the conservation "safari" would be different, since the signs tell you to remain inside your vehicle as you pass through the different habitats. However, when you...More

You drive through this park. Don't exit your car. Especially around the bison and elk. You can over by the eagle cage or the birds. There is one white bison there as well as a herd. Also, deer, wolves, and much more.

An hour tops if you are just driving & looking. If you have kids, you can extend it with time in the petting area & some walking to see eagles, bears, & other things.

Yes. The petting zoo area has a food truck plus a lot of shaded space to picnic. Restrooms are here too! This is also where you walk to see the eagles & bears.
