Once upon a time as part of the history of Bahrain, this was a defesive fort that has been well preserved and open for all to see. Not so big that you would get lost but possess a few tricky stairs to climb up and get some nice photos whether day or sunset time. Its also convieniently located just off the sea that also provides a nice view of the city in the distance. Large open air carpark and a popular attraction for school outings and tourists alike, the close proximty to the Seef Mall Arad also adds the leisurely atomsphere as well as old vs new concept. For added info though the website says open at 9 but its actually 12 noon which is peak heat if visiting in summer. It maybe small and wont be to long wandering around but it can get very hot. We visited this site as a part of a cruise excursion. We walking around the vast site and were able to go inside. You could access most of the fort although some is it was closed off. Very nice location if you are until the history of the region.

The view of the city from inside is so so beautiful. Of course best to go in winter or early/late hours of the day in summer.…

This ancient Fort seems to be royal hide and seek kind of place, its just amazing having many sub ways underground which seems endless and many. Been here shortly which is obviously worthy to visit and understand how ancient Bahrain used to civilized themselves.
