About
This icy high-altitude lake is the legendary birthplace of the Inca civilization, and is also believed to hold precious Inca treasure. When Jacques Cousteau explored the lake for treasure, he discovered instead a large, colorful deep-water frog.

Absolutely a dream. You can almost believe Manco Capac and his wife came out of the lake to found the Inca empire. Crystal clear (12,000 ft. High), the water shimmers. Lots of islands.

You can't get enough of the view, the breeze and the food by the bay. The lake is just mystical. There are a lot of hotels and hostels where you can crash if you're traveling solo. Cheap prices are found near the square. By the...More

Lake Titicaca is certainly worth visiting. I recommend spending a day in Copacabana (and isla del sol) and maybe in Puno.

We came to Copacabana purely because of a recommendation of a hostel and if it wasn’t for our hostel then there really wouldn’t be much to do. We have found it’s pretty dirty here too.

The lake is beautiful and it is relaxing to go on a boat trip but why are there 20 or so shops all selling the same boat trip? And there are about 40 boats sitting idle while everyone is dangerously shoved onto a couple of...More

Worth checking out of you're in the area, but its not much else but a lake with 1000 people trying to sell you trinkets. Nice lake views
