Had a half day off from work while visiting on a business trip. Took a taxi from hotel and was dropped off by the main square. Middle of the day on a Tuesday the park was full of people and school kids. A live band was playing and oh it was worth the visit just to see the Cathedral. Magnificent.... More

Este lugar es muy espacioso rodeado de arboles y Mucha cultura. It is well located park just at the center of the city. You can walk around the park in front of the principal cathedral. The view is like many cities in Bolivia, a lot of youth, elders, childs with their parents and People in love. You can sit down... More

Take a good walk thru the streets to see some local life and shop. There is a great cafe that makes their own fruit ice pops and ice cream that is a must! 21 de Mayo is the name. ALSO a few blocks from the square is a great coop selling all sorts of hand made products from wood, lace,... More

This is the main square of Santa Cruz. With constant movement and visitants, this is a must visit place. In one corner is the Catedral (Basilica Menor de San Lorenzo) the main church of the city and located around are administrative buildings of the municipal and departamental government, theaters, shopping mall, bars, restaurants.

It's really common to just see people hanging out, couples walking around, people selling coffee, small presentations... It's a good place to spend sometime in a Sunday afternoon.

Beautiful square. Nice for an afternoon or evening stroll, specially on weekends. Try the traditional café con leche from the walking vendors. It's delicious, part of the history of the plaza and "the thing to do" Walk around the square, it's surrounded by historic buildings that are now some governmental offices. Visit the Cathedral. Facing the cathedral, to the right,... More

We prefer the night. Once the sun goes down it fills with people. Couples, families. People playing chess and social setting. Well worth the effort
