The plaza seems to be a meeting point for everyone. It's very busy and the pidgeons would give Trafalgar Square a run for it's money. Plenty of seats available to watch the world go by. Definately worth a visit to have a look around.

Because of the pigeons and the shade, the kids absolutely loved this plaza. A friendly atmosphere and plenty of shops and eateries surrounding it. Early night is beautiful but as all downtown areas you must be careful late night.

Plaza 24 de Septiembre is a wonderful place to relax and take some time to enjoy just the feel of the city. During the day it is a nice place to enjoy the architecture, play a game of chess and pick up a cup of...More

Central square of the city. Transmits a good impression of cleanliness and peace in the middle of downtown. The people rest here for lunch time.

In the stressful city this is the place to saddle back and to relax! Join the chess players or take a beer and lean back on the benches.

I visited the plaza at midnight and there were still people walking around and chilling in the plaza talking to each other which I thought was great considering the time as it gave it a friendly environment. The plaza was clean and well looked after,...More

This place is about the mood more than the attractions. If you get there by 12:30PM everything slows down because Cruceños actually go home for lunch and the city center clears out. There is a colonial church and an Arts Center to visit but the...More

The Plaza in itself... well it's a nice town square indeed but nothing all too impressive. What gives this place the extra buzz is the people of course. Sit down on one of the benches with a good book and look up every now and...More

I was certainly expecting a lot less from Santa Cruz and was pleasantly surprised walking around town and discovering the square and cathedral while eating good ice cream. A few local arts and crafts stores is making it even more attractive if like us you...More

We were there when raining so it was not so cosy. Plaza is nice but we saw more beautifull plaza in Boliva. Around the plaza colonial buildings.

No, nothing guided, but for a few B's you can hop on any micro (shared taxi mini-buses) and take a spin. Just stick to the innermost two anillos.
