Local motorboats will take you to the wetlands that form the mouth of the Tonle Gap River. There you will see the floating villages and people live in houses built on stilts. Great photo ops.

We really enjoyed our trip to Kompong Phluk floating village. We paid 13 US dollars, to be part of a small group morning tour which includes hotel pick up and drop off. Alternatively you can pay to get to the village yourself and pay 20...More

I saw a lot of negative comments here and almost didn’t go because of them. It’s a strange place indeed, but well worth it. We paid $20/person at the “gate”... suggest hitting the washroom here. After a long dusty road past rice fields, you come...More

Decided to go independently - DON'T. Ride there and back in tuk-tuk was OK as long as you don't mind an hour's traffic fumes and dust each way - didn't begrudge $20 fare. Then 'held up' at ticket booth - $30pp for private boat (no...More

We board on boat in Tonle Sap Lake. Here, enjoy a brief cruise past floating villages complete with schools, restaurants, and hospitals.

We were excited at the idea of visiting the floating village that the boat company offers. My mother went to the ticket booth and asked for that ticket. She paid $40 US for both of us only to find out there was a miscommunication and...More

Our guide recommended this locally operated visit. You have to pay $20.00 pax which in my view was very reasonable. We enjoyed the trip. We ate at one of the floating restaurants and had the fried shrimps...delicious.

It cost $30 USD including the mangrove / forest boat ride. It takes about and hour to get there from town by Tuk tuk. It's definitely not worth it, I would highly recommend against it. Just a scam to get money from tourists... More

From Siem Reap City to Kompung Pluk around 1 hour ride by car & boat. Our suggestion is you should start after noon and finish after sunset
