This advice may not apply for much longer, but right now there are so few tourists that you can just go. No contact, no reservations. If the balloon is in the air, then they're open. Just walk right up when the lighting is good, pay your $20, and go! It's only 10 minutes, but what a spectacular 10 minutes! Best views of Angkor Wat from the top. Better than the mountain. Doesn't have to be exactly at sunset- any time during the golden hour will do, as long as it's not windy or raining. I don't know how many people "fit" on the platform -maybe 20? 40? When I was there, there were only THREE, myself included. What a time to visit Angkor Wat right now!

A short, pleasant ride up in the stationary balloon was just the ticket for our introduction into Angkor Wat. The views, while high, we’re a little hazy given the humidity, but it was still a fun ride. Make sure that you manage your expectations….the balloon is stationary, not free floating, you’re not really over Angkor Wat per se (it’s in the distance) and the ride itself is only about 20 minutes. With these thoughts in mind, you’ll have a great time.

We had such great fun going up in the balloon. You are up 140m and have fantastic views. It is excellent value and well worth doing. It was great for a 5 year old too!! Only thing to be aware of is that it is weather dependent so check if its going before you head out there.

Absolute must-do attraction. Located at the gates of the Angkor Wat site, the balon offers a 360° view and 120 meters high on the temples and the region.

3rd time for us in Siem Reap, but 1st time we do this activity. We should have done it earlier!

I was very excited to experience this balloon ride. We arrived with a tour group of 20 people at 9am. No one was waiting to ride at that time. At first the company was concerned about wind and allowed 8 people from our group go up. Then the next trip 7 people went up. We were the last 4 people and went up with 9 strangers. There was a large couple that barged over to our space, ignore the tilting and very pushy. The company allowed 13 people up and the sign at the entrance says 10 people maximum. Very poor planning! They should have made our group have 10 people in each 7 minute ride. It’s not the company’s fault the last two people they allowed to join us were total jerks, but they shouldn’t have allowed them to join our already full group of 11 people. Also, the smog made Angkor Wat poorly visible (not the company’s fault).

Hello, We are really sorry that you did not like the people you flied with. When you have a flying machine, security should always be a priority and this is what we do at Angkor Balloon, place security first ! That is why I wonder where did you see the sign saying 10 people max, as our sign says 30 people maximum... Aniway, thank you for your visit and for your review.

Wow, this balloon experience gives you the most spectacular view of Angkor Wat from the sky. We experienced our first real-life view of Angkor Wat from this balloon and seeing the majesty of Angkor Wat appearing in the jungle as the balloon got higher, is a sight that we will never forget. It took our breath away and I thoroughly recommend it. We agreed that it was the best $15 we'd each ever spent!
