Stepping through this gate was like stepping back in time. Not only is it beautifully carved, but it made history come alive.

These are cruciform with a central tower. A causeway spans the moat in front of each tower. These have a row of Devas on the left and Asuras on the right, each row holding a Naga in the attitude of a tug of war.

We visited all the gates at Bayon and they are all worth your time. Climb the hill next to the gate for great shots of the faces in the treetops.

Pretty well preserved compared with similar Gates. Traffic is also less frequent. Really worthy of a photo or two.
