We visited the crocodile farm with our 2 kids aged 8 & 11 - they enjoyed seeing the massive crocodiles piled on top of each other, some of them are enormous. The conditions are distressing - the crocs are crammed in on top of each other and the water in their pools is putrid. Some of them are sick and their skin is infected. You can feed live ducks and chickens to them for a fee - there weren't any available when we visited but I can imagine this would be very distressing. Give this place a miss.

The conditions that the crocodiles are kept in are old, dirty and smelly. The standards of safety for visitors, especially those with young children, are not acceptable. I would not advise anyone to visit there. There are much better examples in other countries.

If you have any concern about animal welfare or empathy with animals then you will not want to visit here.

Crocodiles are kept in pens that are obviously too small as the poor creatures are stacked two or three deep in places. The water is virtually stagnant. You can feed them if it makes you feel any better but if you have any doubts about the future of the animals just visit the leather goods store next door to the farm.

We had asked our driver to take us somewhere for a drive in the morning and he chose to take us here. I have no problem with local customs and culture but this is one visit I do not want to remember and we left within 5 minutes of getting there.

The ‘staff’ make no attempt to explain anything; they simply sell you the entrance tickets, leave you to walk yourself around the very small site and get ready to greet you in the leather shop. They seemed amused that we found the whole experience disgusting.

I guess if you want snake, crocodile, stingray leather goods and have no conscience then you’ll love it! It’s 10 minutes of my live I’ll never get back.

Scenes that will always play on my mind. So sad to see Crocodiles brought down to this level.Little ones in plastic tanks, no water, no food and giving the distress call, obviously terrified. Large Crocodiles two to a tiny pen in the water with nowhere to get onto dry land and dead fish and plastic rubbish floating on the surface.

As soon as we found out about this crocodile farm, we immediately dropped one of the temple visits from our itinerary to make space for this wonder of Siem Reap.

Don't worry about the other reviewers who have obviously missed the point of this attraction -- you must absolutely pay the minimal extra fee to watch the crocodiles eat a live chicken or duck. We have never seen this anywhere else in the world and it is nothing short of spectacular. As soon as the chicken is dropped, there is a mad fight and you will never see so many crocodiles move so fast in your life.

Btw, get your phone on video mode ready as you will want to watch it again and again.

Just a note to the organisers -- in Vietnam, there is a similar parc where you can even feed the crocodiles with a piece of meat tied to the end of a fishing rod -- that would add even further enjoyment for visitors.

Just awful! So disgusting to see around 50 crocodiles in a space no bigger than a front room.
All crammed on top of each other in a murky pool, just to get out the blazing sun. You can see the scars and open sores where they obviously fight each other all day long - out of pure frustration and boredom.

And you can also feed them live animals - chickens and ducks squashed into an upside down washing basket.. waiting to be killed for a tiny amount of money.

Don't go and support something like this.

Do not go here. I did and regret it. The conditions are horrible and the whole experience is unpleasant. Don't go, take my word for it.

My own fault for not researching this before as I didn't realise these poor animals were being dread for death!
They are cooped up in very cramped tanks in stinking conditions and the guide tells you they only feed them a little and only every few weeks because it adds to the up keep cost!!?? He also proudly points out injures on them gained through the fights they've had...I know they fight in the wild but probably even more so under such conditions.
Please don't support this farm...the worst $3 I've ever spent

I've seen some dirty, depressing, and run-down places in my life but this one takes the cake. We had some extra time before we had to leave for the airport so we decided to see what it was all about. The sign on the front said it was home to over 1,000 crocodiles. That statistic may have been true but they were crammed into around 10 pens. There were literally piles of them down in these deep cement pits in water that probably hadn't been changed for several years, some of them even looked like they were dead. There was a thick green film over the top of the water that covers the crocs as they come up to breathe. When they climb out of the water it still coats their head and body.

I felt sorry for buying a ticket to see this suffering but my heart broke worse for those poor animals. We couldn't even bear to take a photo, still trying to erase the memory from our minds. Please, spare yourself the same experience and avoid supporting this place.
