I visited the shop on kings street as the workshop is closed on weekends. The range of items to buy was small and half of the products focus on the ceramic skill. I was in the market for coasters so bought 6 coasters plus a lovely box for $32. Not cheap but hoping the money goes towards the deaf and... More

Just around the corner (100m) from Billina, Cambolac is one of the few truly authentic Cambodian souvenir producers. The quality is excellent. You can buy at King Road Market, but a visit to the workshop is great. They employ death and mute Khmer, so the money goes to a good cause: but more important, the products themselves are irresistible!

Philippe and his wife have started a real great, sustainable business here and created several jobs for young / young and handicapped Cambodians. So if you are looking for a special souvenir, stop by and buy here (or in their shop downtown close to the Hardrock Café), they have beautiful goods decorated with temples, dancers and elephants. And hurry up,... More

Thank you Jowalie. It has been our own privilege and a pleasure to tour you here at our workshop. As you mentioned in your review, as our workshop is closed Saturday and Sunday, you can nevertheless visit our Art Gallery Shop downtown at King's road, riverside opposite Old Market. Hope we can get the new panda line of products ready... More

Not easy to find, but it's well worth the trip. Get to see how the artists create the project and then pick up items in the store. Items are reasonably priced.

I was walking around in Siem Reap and by coincidence I saw this workshop. I asked if I could look around and spontanously a deaf lady was my guide in the proces of lacquery. Starting with a wooden form, the local people create unique souvenirs with great care, one by one. They offer a choise of beautiful souvenirs. By buying... More

The Cambolac workshop, a Cambodian Social Business, makes the best Cambodian souvenirs. This handicraft company designes beautiful laquer ware, made by vulnerable poor or hearing impaired young adults. Philippe, the manager and inspiror, designes beuatiful pictures for the laQuer ware. The result is very professional. Every time I visit Siem Reap I buy some objects, they are the jewels in... More

There are an array of things to do in Siem Reap. But if you have any interest in things that actually make a real and lasting difference to disadvantaged peoples lives -and give them dignity and a sustainable future -then DO visit Cambolac. Oh -and the products are fabulous too and we did lots if Christmas shopping whilst we were... More

Fair trade supporting disadvantaged groups. Great variety of products made by using lacquer and paper. Lovely art design on coasters, mats, trays etc. Worth a visit and so much better than imported tat in the markets.

We didn't make it to the actual store front but visited the stand at the handmade market off of king street. The woman working was very friendly. Handmade gifts that support locals with disabilities. Great souvenirs.
