Spent few days in Siem Reap and literally went to the Market everyday. It's easy to get to by foot or tuktuk. There were many shops selling condiments, dried food, fresh vegies and souvenirs, most slightly highly priced than average, so bargain all you can. For instance, souvenir tshirts may cost USD5 each, but I managed to grab 7/8pieces for... More

What a cool market! Apart from being able to buy your usual souvenirs, there's a wet market right in the middle boasting the local produce. Locals yelling and trading and buying produce from each other. It's nuts! But such a great experience!

Repetitive goods that seem to be all around Siem Reap. Good to experience the food market found here as well. Not the best place to change money here...cheaper rates elsewhere and the difference could buy a beer or two!

The market is a fascinating place to visit but don't go in the afternoon as it can be very hot. Best time in my opinion would be about 10 am when most tourists are at Angkor or still in the bed. Their are butcher stalls at the side where there are many sausages, fruit stalls and vegetable stalls and many... More

It's full of stuff but prices are for tourists and the bargaining doesn't get you a fair price. For fruits etc rather go at the market where locals go (ask the tuktuk driver) all at have the price and much better quality.

A place for the day & evening to walk around and look at shops of any kind. You can find great bargains so do no be afraid to negotiate on price. It does have a real groceries, food and meat market in between the shops, wich makes it even more inserting to observe the tourists interacting with the locals. 2... More

I had breakfast here twice, both noodle soup dishes. Very good place to people watch. I actually bought some prahok sac, and fresh rice noodle home.

All of the tourist markets in Siem Reap are close to each other. While it offers tourist items, it does offer items that locals might want to.

What makes this market excellent is the friendliness and smile of the people. You can negotiate on anything you buy. If the price you propose is too low they will let you leave without buying so you can test their limit. It seems that negotiating in the morning is the best time as they are superstitious and do not want... More
