Took a large crowded boat up the Channel to Bernardo O'Higgins NP, not so great. But from there took a 15 passenger rigid zodiac on up river to the Hotel Rio Serrano, on the opposite side of the river from the Paine Mountains. The Channel itself was great, the first crowded boat was not.

This glacier looks like the other, but comes with a short hike and a chance to see large chunks of glacier floating in the channel. One of the best parts of this trip is the island/restaurant you stop/stay for a short period before, they have excellent coffee and the cutest little kid who is ready to chat and help you!... More

We went by boat from the Singular Patagonia and had a most enjoyable day through the Channel of Last Hope. We sailed into Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, and hiked to the Serrano Glacier. The boat trip through the water was magnificent because the waters were calm, and we could enjoy the splendid scenery.

From Puerto Natales there is a great boat trip along the lake to view the glaciers & water falls. Wrap up warm for the one hour round trip walk to the glacier face.

The Ultimate Esperanza, Channel of Last Hope is the ultimate destination on an all day boat excursion from a pier outside of Puerto Natales. After about 31/2 hours of cruising and seeing some beautiful scenery (reminiscent of the Li River in China), one disembarks and goes along a trail for about 1-11/2 kilometers to finally get to the glacier. It's... More

I took great pictures of wildlife (Condors, Petreles, Cormoranes, Dolphins) and scenic views of cascades and glaciers (Balmaceda and Serrano). Lunch at Estancia Perales was great, just great typical Patagonian meal. Guide were nice but pretty poor in real information. Boats need deep cleanning, however as a fitting number we were able to use the captain's space at the top... More

It's a long, windy walk down the beach to see this attraction but worth it. If you're lucky, there are glaciers floating close to shore so you can get an up-close view

This is the best among all the glaciers within a day's range. Takes a bit of a hike but you can reach there and see the beauty of it all. The close up photos also come out really good on any phone. Its good to be a little careful on the hike. Saw a few adults slip badly and get... More

Scenic area that we enjoyed on our Celebrity cruise from Santiago to Buenos Aires. The canals and channels down here are in cold temps and you want to be out on the deck of ships when you pass through them. It is imperative to wear layers and to keep yourself warm!

I'm stunned to read so many highly rated reviews. My wife and I did this trip with Turismo 21 day Mayo recently after reading past reviews. I can only surmise that others taking the trip haven't really seen glaciers or wildlife as this trip had very little wildlife (the touted sea lion colony had a lone sea lion) and birds... More
