Good half day trip from PA with a car or tour company. Excellent interactive museum with an English guide overlooking the very first Spanish settlement who all but one starved to death. The recreation of the original Chilean settlement is realistic and again comes with...More

Our Penguin tour in the afternoon got cancelled and we organized a private taxi for 4 hours. They charged 50,000 CLP for two of us but we totally loved the drive which was just beside the Pacific Ocean. If you love history this place is...More

Park has evidently become privately run and is a bit pricey but worth seeing. Early English fort is situated high on a hill and would have been a very hard place to be posted!! Fresh water was miles from the fort. Wind permeates everything. Dress...More

This fort is a bit away from Punta Arenas, about 1 hour drive, but don´t let that be a reason to skip this place in your visit. Inside the complex you have a nature reserve where you can go trekking, a modern building where you...More

The view from up there is amazing. It is sooo beautiful. For that alone,I recommend going there. It is interesting to see how the first settlers lived etc. Wished they had done a bit more about its history though

To me this is the best place to visit when you are in Punta Arenas. So much to see, good trecking, amazing views and the begining of Punta Arenas History in there.

I didn't see any way to get there with public transportation. Rent a car or do a tour. Don't leave before hiking the beach, it's a spectacular sight and it was my favorite part of the stop there.
