This place is very modern and has recently undergone massive development to become a tourist hub, many hangout places, restaurants, shops, and you name it, also sea world has an underground metro station making it very easy to get to. A must see place in Shenzhen in my opinion.

The Sea World area has undergone tremendous changes recently with the development and construction. It is now a modern area with all the expensive restaurants and pub. It also has a water light show every evening. The restaurants were to be patronized mainly expats but there are wealthy locals everywhere. It is quite touristy and expensive.

Its shifted to a new place, not far from previous one but further from the city. You now get dropped in basement and need to use elevator to go up. The place is incredibly modernized and a much better experience than before. You can take ferry to Zhuhai, HK, HK Airport and Macau.........

This place is CONFUSING! I arrived there around 18:00 and it was already very dark. Therefore, I got lost because I couldn't see the streets well and not familiar with the area. By metro, it takes more than an hour to go from Luohu line to Shekou line! Wow! So much more painful. Although this area has great old styled... More

But it is only just down the road at the new Cruise Centre, less than five minutes by regular free shuttle buses from the old terminus. At the new centre the buses drop and pick up passengers in the basement level B1, where escalators take you up to the many waiting room seats on the ground floor 1, a considerable... More

I really like this area of Shennzhen. Very fast-paced and a great area full of expats and restaurants. If you're missing cuisines from back home (American, German, etc) this would be a good place to go to. There's plenty to look at, tons of bars and a great place to people watch.

In Shekou you can see a little bit of real China close to the Expat bubble of Seaworld. You find all you need for daily life from hairdresser to good restaurants, but the advantage over other parts of Shenzhen it that more of the employees speak English, or at least a kind of... Nanshan mountain, Coastal City mall, Bay Park... More

Shekou is home to the Nanhai E Cool zone where you will find many nice coffee shops and restaurants as well as creative designer shops selling clothing, leather goods, furniture etc. There is a lot of nice artwork on the walls and the interior of many shops is well designed (a great opportunity for photographs). Shekou is also where you... More
