This place has everything. A clean beach to lie on, a park with many walking paths to walk on, a variety of tropical plants everywhere, etc. It even has an amusement park with a variety of rides on land and on water. There are small shops to try snacks, fruit juices, and of course freshly opened coconuts. Nice day to... More

If you are looking for a place where you want to spend with your friend and get some barbecue, this is the place to go, well, you should be prepared if you want to go, because the stuff they got over there is definitely very expensive.

Beach is OK, lots of soft sand and not too crowded, even during the Chinese Ney Year holiday timeframe. Gentle waves and good views of the ocean with many ships on the horizon. Nice for a good long stroll to enjoy the fresh air.

Strong current and not suitable for small children. Fine for making castle and other beach activities.

Probably the best beach in Haikou. It's nice to go there for a swim on a sunny day or for a stroll or run at night, but it's sometimes a bit crowded and not very clean. You can see the industry and ships from afar and this ruins it a bit for me. Don't expect a pearly white beach, but... More

I went in Haikou this March and it was beautiful. The weather was amazing, maybe 25 C, warm....and not many people, which is good in China. The beach was clean and there were some restaurants and shops, but, not what I expected. I thought there will be lots of sea food and yummy food...but it was the same basic Chinese... More

Well nothing special about the beach, maybe because it was winter & the beach & sea do not look inviting!

Amazing hot spring complex with a 30rmb entrance fee. As for the beach, it's a public beach only a few miles from the port. Not the best Hainan has to offer but definitely the best you'll get going by way of Haikou City Busses.
