Took a tour from a Cruise ship to this village which reminded us of the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu. The show was a must see as it captures some of the cultural practices of the Li and Miao people. There was an English caption to help us understand. We had a guide but you could have walked through the... More

A replica village of how the Li Tribe and Miao Tribe used to live in the area. The "residents" showcase their daily lives around the village and put up a lovely musical covering their history and rituals (performed in Chinese with English subtitles on screen). We explored around on our own taking the internal shuttle to get around the different... More

This is the place for you to find the roots of hainan ! Although the park is similar to other forest parks in Hainan, but the core ideas of the park is to promote the Li Culture, which is very interesting to see and experience !

The Ethnic village is a unique cultural experience that is hard to find elsewhere. We really enjoyed the show as well. For 200 rmb you can't beat it.

This is not an ethnic village. Its a huge tourist complex built in the mountains. I'm unsure how to describe it as it defies anything I've seen before. There's about 15 minutes worth of cultural explanation of the Li people. Mostly though posters and text. There's about 6 different stores and shopping corridors you'll be lead through. It's impossible to... More

Went to this place after tour guide recommend as not on the standard visit list. Get a guide to bring us around.. there is show that must not be missed and top up to sit at front as we get the ticket late and result in sitting far back. Went around and get a good learning of the minority culture... More

Be prepared to walk alot in the tropical humidity. Electric cars bring you to the buildings but you still need to walk to see the exhibits. Lots of sitting areas to sit between exhibits. Exhibits had shown differences in Hainan culture dating back to BC. They had exhibits of poison dart tree bark made into clothes! It was nice to... More

Ticket includes cultural show, admission and transport within village. Transport within village is highly recommended if you are Travelling with elderly. Elderly aged 60 and above can purchase... This your was well worth the drive into the island center. Understanding the native culture of the island was a rich experience. The grounds were well kept. The outdoor stage production was extremely well choreographed. The costumes and dances were authentic and had a good rythm and pace within the production. An Enjoyable afternoon for sure.
