It may not be Disneyland but Discovery Kingdom is amazing value for money. The biggest rollercoaster will definitely take your breath away, there are plenty of rides/rollercoasters/attractions to keep you entertained for the whole day with something for everyone. The park is well laid out with the rides well spaced and easy to find and easy to go back to for another time! We had a fantastic day here and would highly recommend it to anyone!

In spite of how much I don’t enjoy the lineups and crowds of an amusement park I somehow had a really wonderful time here. I would go again in a heartbeat. The area is beautiful, the rides are really good, and the layout is well designed. Best of all was the free show put on over the water at night. World class entertainment, dancing, circus, theatre, sword duels and fireworks. We didn’t have the time to invest in lining up for their two biggest rollarcoasters, but they look positively amazing.

Dalian Discovery Kingdom, also known as Discoveryland, in Jinshitan, Dalian, China, has some big rides that kids love but the park isn't just for kids. There's a lake in the middle of the park and parades with performers from Russia and elsewhere meander around that area. Also, there are big shows with lots of daring stunts. This place is very busy in the summer so you might want to plan your trip in the spring or fall, to beat the crowds.

We have an older child who can ride most of the rides and this place is fun for him, but for our younger child there are only 3 rides that are in height range. All the other rides are for kids 1.4 meters or taller or younger than 6. Inbetween just isn't much fun.

This is a very nice amusement park, but the queue is just crazy. We wanted to take the roller coaster but it was impossible because you have to queue before 12 only to take it at around 4-5PM. The quality of the rides are good and there are a lot of rides, but make sure you come as early as possible to avoid crazy queue.
Note: the longest ticket queue outside is not for buying tickets, it's for a yearly ticket or something. Walk further until you see a less crowded booth, that's the ticket booth.

Not to be compared with larger amusement parks, but it's okay for a day. The rides are good, the food is passable once you get by the fried squid (we don't care for it), the ambiance is fun to be around and the people (staff and visitors) have been fun to be around. It would be a good choice for a family visiting the area. Doesn't open during the winter months.

Amusement park far away from the satndards of a Disneyland but quite OK for once or twice a year. Very busy during peak season due to tons of Chinese tourists. Same stunt show as 2013. Most actors of the parade are from Russia or Ukraine.

I took my son to here with my cousin, it was quite a long drive from centre dalian, and it was such a HOT & HUMID day. the queue is massive, but I guess it's school holiday, so expect it.
You have to be very patient when inside as there is queue for everything. It was a fun day out, but one day is definitely enough, I think my son would like to go back there in the summer while we visit dalian again.

Yes having been to DisneyLand in the states it is modelled on the theme without Mickey and the gang.
Great for older children from 6 up, my daughter is 2 and of course is limited as to what she can go on, but there is an indoor area near the water log ride which has rides for very young children.
My 2 year old really enjoyed it as did our friends 4 year old. We spent a good hour in there but you need to take 20 1 yuan coins with you for short rides in the childrens area.
The queues for the roller coasters were about an hour long and looked great, but with a very young family again you cannot justfify this wait
There was a parade of Chinese cartoon type caracters, plenty to look at and some of the rides looked great fun for children 6 and over.
Its Chinese! Its.. Blackpool pleasure beach meets Chinese Disneyland.
Its fun, Kids of 12 and over will love it.
Its very good value for money and I enjoyed watching my daughters face as she took in the screams of people on the water ride and coasters.
I found it interesting
If its hot take water with you. The food is basic fast food Chinese style, so the fried chicken place was the most suitable to the western palate as good as KFC, the rest I did not fancy.
If your a fussy eater take your own food or better still, eat first before you go in. (Good tip).
No your not going to meat Mickey Mouse, but you can buy a ballon outside with him on!

Hawkers outside the amusement park tried telling us that the best rides weren't working, that if we went with them (for a significant fee of course) they would show us all of the good sites.
Needless to say, we didn't accept that option.
I went with my wife's nephew David and, irrespective of the issues with the best rides, we had a good time. But as is said; it's only what you make it!
Frankly, we could have stayed a lot longer and indulged in the same rides over and over again - waiting for the night time entertainment (light show etcetera). Instead we ran around for approx 3.5 hours in what must be one of the cheesiest theme parks on the planet. That said, all was well done and it looked good.
All I can say is thank goodness it was a quiet day. Indeed, the only highly ranked ride (in other words, a roller coaster offering decent thrills) that was open (only for an hour or so) had a 2.5 hour queue! Fortunately this wasn't so elsewhere with the longest wait being no more than maybe 10 minutes. Worst case!
Rides were good, staff were extremely happy and helping, they were massively vigilant with all safety aspects, the place was clean and there were more food outlets than I've had not dinners in the past year...
What was really surprising was the number of themed staff performing seemingly impromptu acts around the park, followed by a massive parade. I have to hand it to them, they know how to put on a show.
Downsides: Of course the three rides not functioning was a massive blow. We learnt their closure was as a consequence of a few accidents. Hence their closure is understandable, Mind you. It didn't result in a lower entry price!
Another annoyance is how there are a number of rides spread around the facility requiring additional payment. Not acceptable when you pay good money to get in.

Добрый день. Как называется отель, расположенный на территории парка развлечений? Каким образом можно забронировать номер для наших туристов?
Written September 4, 2015
