A friend told me before I moved to China a friend who'd lived here said "China is a food culture." He couldn't have been more right. So you really ought to visit Furong Street where food of every sort is gobbled and savored. In addition to numerous food stalls there are restaurants so you don't have to only have street... More

As Jinan was my first place of stay in China this street was my first experience of street food and tiny shops trinkets and souvenirs. I bought pottery for gifts at a small gift shop which is so lovely. I looked elsewhere in Nanjing, Shanghai and Beijing but couldn't find it again or anything so lovely. I was taken to... More

A small alley where u can find different kinds of street food but you will find that they are all selling similar food if u keep walking. Although it is quiet crowded at the beginning of the street, you will find a nice and more quiet alley when you walk until the end. DO NOT STOP walking when u reach... More

i really enjoyed visiting here although its smelly and dirty and the pavement is all broken. like most of Jinan there are very few westerners and it felt like a very authentic experience. had fantastic spiced bread cooked on something like a tandoori oven

This is the sort of narrow Street where you can find weird snacks and loads of souvenirs. It's a special experience.

This is a long and narrow alley with many restaurants, stalls selling snacks, local food, etc. However, the variety is limited as most of them are selling the same type of food and snacks. It is still crowded with many locals especially in the evenings. Drop by to feel the ambience and experience a typical Chinese food street.

Very crowd, mostly young kids. Long and narrow alley with restaurants/food booth/shops. Looked really nice but if you like to find something good/tasty, here is not the place. Although there are lots food booth but from my point of view, there are only 3-4 types of food - fried smelly beancurd; fried sleeve fish and BBQ lanb... Nothing excited at... More

When you enter the small alleyways of Furong Jie through the gate on Quanchang Road you will find yourself in an whole other than the big shopping malls on the opposite side. Tiny restaurants offer street barbecue, noodle, tofu, dumpling, soup and fish dishes. All in a ver chinese street style. Foreigners should be aware that you might need to... More

Even on a week night Furong Street is crowded with people buying Jinan snack food. I suggest you eat first at the beautiful shopping mall across the street where you will find many delicious options served with a Western level of cleanliness, then go to Furong Street for an after dinner stroll. The ambiance is great!
