Very interesting place in terms of architecture. But particularly going there is not close from downtown, the best way is to take a cab. For those who like old style architecture

The large house, designed by a German architect, was built at the turn of the 20th century. It has art nouveau tiles and original furniture, with some Chinese of the period. There is a good audio guide for 10 Y

The mansion had a good selection of displays along with some English explanation...the 20 yuan ticket was a bit much for a place that barely takes 30 minutes to check out though...

This museum has some good photos and explanations showing the building's role in Qingdao's past. The visit will take less than an hour but it's worth it if you have the time.

Fairly small, but fun to explore. Tickets are quite cheap, so I think worth it if you have the time. Also very close to signal hill park which is quite nice as well.
