This is a great TV tower too)) You can see it from very far away. Like with any TV towers in China, on the upper 200th floor or so you can find a revolving restaurant that serves first-class meals for tourists or locals, if you have enough to dine there. Then from the observatory deck, you can find yourself a... More

As an amateur photographer, this place allowed me to get great shots of the city and that's all you can ask for. The inside of the tower between the third and first floors were vain attempts to get tourists to by stuff. They even try to sell you a picture of you pretending to be in a CCTV studio but... More

I stayed at a hotel opposite the No.1 Bathing Beach. As part of my `spartan' morning exercise regime, I woke up at 5.30 am, took my stroll to Zhongshan Park which was diagonally opposite my hotel. While at the park, I saw the cable car that went up to the TV Tower but it was not in operation that early... More

Due to a lack of any extremely tall buildings in town, the idea of a view from here has been on my mind for a long time now but unfortunately the tower is currently closed with no sign of reopening again soon.

There is a huge park that leads you up towards the tower at the top. Sure you get a nice view of the city from here but it is disappointing to find the tower has been closed for over a year without any plans to reopen it. You have been warned.

Probably the best attraction I went to in Qingdao. It's a huge park with some great sight, scenery and flower arrangements. Coincidently I arrived there just before sunset so I raced it up to the TV tower to get a good view. If you're not athletic, or quite simply can't be bothered, you can take a cable car/ski lift up... We went up to the top of the Qingdao TV Tower on a day with low visibility. The view was still pretty great. You can really see all of ZhongShan Park and all the way to the sea on 2 sides. There are a few floors, when you reach the top, of interest. On one of the floors, there is... More

We went on a clear day and had great views, which made it worth while. There are 3 levels to go to. We only went up to the RMB 50 one. The others are RMB 80/100, higher floors. The but.... is due to the environment on the viewing platform. There is that not very pleasant smell that greets you coming... More

A tv tower atop a hill in the middle of Qingdao. The view is phenomenal in all directions: north, south, east and west. Qingdao has a history of German influence and it is literally visible from the architectural designs from buildings throughout the city. Also visible from the top of the tower is Mt. Laoshan and the ocean. *Breath taking... More
