Didn't see much special about this beach, or maybe because we weren't at the right season (winter). It was fine, although we really liked the neighbourhood surrounding the beach.

The beaches in Qingdao are very easy to get to in relation to the city centre. People who talk about Dalian beaches as being somehow good, should check out Qingdao where they are much better and less crowded.

Chinese beaches are underdeveloped in European eyes. Here they are making a start. In afternoon lots of little BBQ outlets on beach

If rubbing shoulders with other tourists is your idea of fun, by all means, hang out at the bathing beaches of Qingdao, most of which are ticketed areas (entrance Rmb10). Many of Qingdao's centrally-located public beaches are crowded and dirty. The water off the coast of Qingdao is murky and the sand brown, rather than coral white. Qingdao is a... More

Qingdao is a beautiful city and the beach scenery is certainly part of the beauty with deep blue sea hues and salty ocean breezes. There are large sandy areas to relax on, but avoid the summer rush! Sometimes you can not see even the sand as people are jammed together competing for limited space, especially on the beach near the... More

If you haven't been to a Chinese beach prepare yourself for something completely different. Most people are standing or sitting with their clothes on. They only take off their shoes and do not even bother to wear shorts to the beach. They will go into water with their long pants in. Like anything else in this country there is no... More

It's pity that all of my picture about the lake is vanished. We came down from a moutain and amused by the beatiful picture appeared front you and attract you go inside of it, to feel the breeze from the lake, to sink yourself inside… And I also enjoyed running in the flower around the QingHai Lake, rided a horse...
