If you want to drink local beer with locals head to any less developed area in Qingdao and find a BBQ. This street is amazingly overpriced for the same beer you can get at the factory for a third of the price, the factory/museum is across the street.

A lot of restaurants directly next to the brewery... Not really German style (although they say it) - more like all the same Chinese seafood restaurants where you can sit outside and drink a lot :-) Of course a lot of Tsingtao beer...

It was 3:30pm after visiting the Qingdao Beer Brewery and I was alone. The restaurants looked interesting but not really alluring for someone traveling alone.

It is a great place. Looks like in Europe. In fact Germans started this a 100 years ago. I went to the beer festival on August 5th. Many hangars hosting entertainment activities and restaurants. Also, a lot of outside walking around and restaurant places. they host many outside events as well. this year they had a setup for the outside... More

We visited the street on two occasions, we enjoyed the Beer Museum tour and all the fun photos ops and really, really loved the novelty of beer in a bag. However, we didn't like how aggressive the people standing outside of the restaurants were. They would run across the street through traffic to try to get us to come eat... More

The main attractions here are of course the Tsingtao Brewery and Museum, and the close proximity of the Qingdao Wine Street. Loads of restaurants, all serving the local tipple, and all having fairly pushy touts brandishing their menus; these often have pictures of the dishes on offer but no menu that I saw was in English. Best to take a... More

Went for a visit, just to have a look. Good restaurants and places to drink beer. Best to buy the beer in a bottle / can as the beer that comes from the kegs seems to be a lot warmer. Good friendly location

The restaurants have about all the same food, I chose one because music was playing in the background. A large group came in and I had a great time with this friendly bunch! Street musicians, etc!

Qingdao Beer Street (real name is Dengzhou-Lu) is the street just in front of Qingdao Beer Factory. There are many restaurants, whose specialty is sea food. I have not tried all of them, but the prices of these restaurants seem to be much similar. They sell of course Qingdao Beer.
