With a friend's invitation, we went there along the beach for a long promenade that's around 10 km!! At the end though, we did have seafood grilled skewers as our bbq dinner! Somewhere on the beach, there's a big silver monument of dolphins or seals...More

bathing beaches in Qingdao are not like surfing beaches in Australia - however they are still nice change from industrialised China - the best feature of Qingdao beaches is that the whole harbour coastline has walking path that goes for miles from the city centre...More

I went during a holiday so it was crowded as you would expect. The water didn't look very clean and it didn't help when you saw signs warning you to be careful not to get stung by jellyfish. Qingdao boasts of its beautiful beaches but...More

spending few days there was mandatory to visit the beach but it is not so nice. After taking bath your skin is oily and the sand is dirty. Not recommendable.

I was told that I went at the right time as it was not flooded with tourist. The locals are enjoying the place by flying kites, naked swimming and playing volleyball. It is very cooling to walk along the sandy beach
