Modern compared to historic bazaars in Xinjiang and Central Asia.. However, one still gets the atmosphere as in a bazaar albeit modern. The Floor show at the Grand bazaar is worth attending to enlighten one on ethnic cultures and dances.

I would not spend a lot of time in this market but it is worth a visit. It is new and touristy, but you can find some things of interest.

I read a lot of bad reviews on this place but I liked it. There are many dried herbs, fruits, and nuts a well as scarves, rugs, hats, jewelry and musical instruments. I got a hat and a drum for a decent price.
