Panachi is a park build inside the Chicamocha Canyon, you could feel-see the immensity of it and this is part of the trip. The park has all kind of outdoor activities, with local food, history and the architecture of Santander, if you want to have a general taste of the region this is my top recommendation, it has everything. When visiting Parque National de Chicamocha you take the whole experience into consideration. Our group visited Panachi and took the teleférico to the park. The ride on the teleférico offers stunning views on both its way down and up. Once in the park you can enjoy several activities such as zip lining, enjoy some refreshments or snacks, and enjoy the... The views of the canyon, the comuneros monument and the cable car to go down and up the canyon make the visit worth it. The rest of the park is just normal and perhaps not to be the purpose of your visit

I really did not know what we would get at this park, but we were all impressed. There's an awesome gondola that takes you down tot he bottom of the canyon and up to the top of the other side. It takes about 25 minutes each way. You can get off on the other side and have a visit. There... More

The views from the park on the canyon and surroundings in breathtaking. The ride on the telefaric was nice, although a bit too long. I would definitely recommend the Ostrich park, it's not so expensive and one can see many exotic birds. Also very fascinating is the monument that shows the revolution in Santander. Another thing I recommend is the... More

Definitely go, if you are in the area. The views are spectacular. I wasn't interested in the rides or the waterpark, so can't vouch for those. But I was there on Friday morning, and there were very few people and no lines. Plenty of bathrooms and places to eat. If you love cats, bring some food for them. There's a... More

Compared to most national parks, Chicamocha is very different. It's more like a theme park set on a spectacular mountain top bordered by canyons on two sides. There's an impressive gondola that takes visitors down one canyon wall and up the other--with amazing views from both summits. And--quite unusually--there's a water park situated on a plateau overlooking the canyon by... More

The view from Chicamocha is breathtakingly beautiful. We took the cable car up to the top, which was approximately 35 minutes +/- to get there. When we arrived at the top, I was just simply awe struck on how beautiful it was there. The place was relaxing, sort of having a calming affect on you. There is also a sculpture... More
