As part of the Cali City Tour, we visited this and had a wonderful view of the city. Just make sure you can walk up a somewhat steep road, as cars are not allowed to go up the final way. I was definitely winded after the climb.

This is one of the main landmarks of Cali. It is a very impressive moument only 12 mts shorter than the one in Rio de Janeiro. The city view is spectacular. One must have your own transportation to be able to get back to the city.

Visiting Cristo Rey was interesting. The only thing like it is in Brazil. If you go once, you don't need to go again. At the base of the gigantic statue is a small eatery. The view of the city is amazing. Know that once you park there is a steep driveway. I had a bad knee and found it difficult.

Today tried to walk up to the statue and we got robbed by two guys on a motocycle with a gun. So if you really wanna go there, just take a taxi or a bus!!!!
I cannot say anything about the view, cuz we did't make it to the top!
Enjoy! :-P

The monument itself is enough reason to visit. I would say that is a must do while visiting Cali. The view atop is incredible, it extends past Cali to nearby cities in Valle del Cauca. I had to convince a taxi driver to take me there, wait for me and bring me back down. There's no public or touristic transport going up, so taxi is your best bet. The fare was ok, but agree on a price prior going.

My most recent visit in Cali was with my girlfriend, so I just had to show her the Cristo Rey. When in Cali, this is the probably the most important landmark you can visit. Many of my friends looked at my photos and thought I was in Brazil. However, this landmark can be reach by taxi for $25 roundtrip with a 30 minute wait (complete tourist service). There is no fee to get in. Water and snacks are sold by vendors. The view from here is amazing. I would say it's a must see in Cali. Happy Travels.

Really breathtaking place where you can see the beauty of Cali. Great place to take pictures. The drive up is bit winding but so worth it. There is a bit of walking to the top so if you have mobility issues take your time. Truly a place to experience and one of the nicest views I have ever seen,

This is a good way to spend a couple hours in Cali. The sights are fantastic and the monument is impressive as well. If walking is difficult it might be a little bit of a challenge to get to the top.

Took an Uber here and it was great. The statue is impressive, and the view over the city is nice (maybe somewhat misty..). We didn’t plan this very well and when it was time to head down the only taxi available wanted to charge us triple of what we paid the Uber to get there. As we started walking we tried to order a new Uber, but no one would make the trip to pick us up so we ended up walking the whole way down. This took us a good 1,5 hours and it is not a nice walk. The road is everything but wide and there are some really sharp turns making it difficult for drivers to see you.

The unrivaled views of the city, and the beautiful mountains behind it are worth the drive up the mountain. Cristo Rey has amazing artwork detailed into a statue that is still massive in size. It’s a perfect selfie spot for the wandering tourist. Be sure to set aside an hour or so to just enjoy all the beauty this site has to offer. Whether it’s the cityscape below or the mountain range behind, you will absolutely not be disappointed by visiting Cristo Rey.
