I enjoyed myself as how often can someone say they went mudding in a volcano. However, it is at least an hour drive from town and really nothing else to do but visit this volcano. I used a taxi which was better for me instead...More

We were lucky since we had rented a private car, and got there before the rush. You leave everything in the car of value. You can take your phone and slippers and someone will watch over them for a cost. We got to take the...More

Our first stop was as the volcano. The teens liked it so much they wanted to go in. All of us purchased a bottle of volcano mud.

I booked this as a half day tour from our hotel as it seemed to be one of the must see attractions in the Cartagena area. My friend wasn’t too keen and it wasn’t the best of the tours during our Colombia trip but it...More

Ok, it's a tourist trap, probably artificial, but also sheer fun (and great for photos!) The mud is actually buoyant! You climb the stairs in the heat, are eased down into the mud "pit" on a wooden ladder, and then find yourself bobbing around in...More

I went here once. It was a very interesting experience. I was not prepared for the event, so I did have a few issues. You have to climb steps to get the the bath. Once there, there are people to help you float and give...More

We were a party of nine, first to arrive before the rush, thank goodness. This is a bit of a tourist trap, suspect it is man made. However, it is great fun to float in the mud then to be washed off (small fee) by...More

Every tourist agent is selling this as a great attraction. Well NO, don't waste your money on it. The route to go there is not nice, you can see trash all around, the driver was nice and tried to apologize for the view, BUT this...More

Not sure of taxi cost. We took organized tour. guess would be $25-50US roundtrip depending on your negotiating skills. Ask 5 different taxis before agreeing to anyone and you'll get a good gauge of the cost. Taxis are... More

The volcano is in a far away remote location, and there is no modern facilities or lockers there at all. The only real way to get there is by a tour bus, even trying to drive there would be virtually impossible to find!
