We found out about Vivarium de Caribe while dining in Cartagena and they said it would be good for kids. We took our kids (ages 7 and 8) out to visit and had a fabulous experience. There was not an English speaking guide available that afternoon, but that didn't stop them from completely accommodating us. Our guide called an English speaking friend who translated every exhibit and explanation over the phone for us for the entire 2 hour tour! Amazing service and great educational information! The kids really enjoyed the exhibits and the interaction feeding the tortoises and crocodiles. The kids had a blast and the adults appreciated the education and safety. I would highly recommend the experience to anyone (tourist or not)!

Great way to interact with animals, you can feed them. Fish, reptiles, turtles and bugs are for the view here. All family liked it. Wish they would offer different languages.

Our guide Omer was very knowledgeable and patient with the multitude of questions that the 7 kids were throwing at him. The place is great to discover the reptiles of the Colombian Caribbean coast.

I was the only Visitor in the afternoon. Nice surroundings and loved to feed the turtles and sitting next to them.
This is really a good place to go with childeren; they can hold a snake and a baby caiman.

We visited the vivarium with a 4 and a 5 year old girl and they loved it! They had the opportunity to interact with different animals and learned a lot in a fun way about different species! The guide and all the people working there were very welcoming and service minded.

Unique experience to get close to the crocodiles, alligators, turtles and snakes. During the visit, a guide will show you around (in Spanish only) and answer any questions you might have. Reservations are recommended, you really get a separate tour so no bother from other visitors.
