Floating in mud is not something you get to do every day. So this is something you should at least try once in your life. It is busy, but cool, so it is worth to wait for your turn to get in the mud If you want to help the local communities for a couple of bucks you can let... More

One of the most weird and different experience of my life. You could literally lie down on the surface of the mud like a bed and you'd not sink it at all. if you stand vertically, your feet would not touch the ground and it would not let you sink either. But keep your hands and feet loose... the more... More

If the idea of floating over a natural pool of mud, with the consistency of honey, which is so rich in minerals that it does not let you sink seems appealing to you – do not miss Volcan Totumo. Most people would expect a volcano to be a tall mountain of black rock, evidence to powerful eruptions and lava flows.... More

I was not impressed, this is not a real volcano but a hole in the ground. Maybe it has something geothermal going underneath but I would not call it a volcano, looks more like a toy than it looks real. I saw many tourists, both foreign and local from Colombia. The tour I took was from Cartagena and they offered... More

A good laugh with friends and prepare to get dirty. Its also a nice way to give back to the community and helping the locals by giving them a couple dollars for a full body massage while in the mud. They will also watch you down by the river which was a cool experience, we had a lot of fun... More

It's an interesting experience and not too expensive so worth trying out if you have a spare half day. You're driven to the mud volcano (which is small and looks man-made), you get changed into your swimming gear (there are lockers and changing rooms to use) and head for the steps up to the top of the volcano. The boys... More

This was a lot of fun. We read many of the other reviews, so I think we were prepared for the rickety ladders, mud, massages, cleaning in the pond, etc. Looking back, I think this may be a little dangerous because the mud level is down ~15 feet from where it was. So, there is a chance that this thing... More

Vacations are about stepping outside your comfort zone and trying new things. So climb into a pit of mud that is filled with strangers, let foreign men run their hands over your body, hand your camera over to a kid and experience the mud. It will all work out and at a minimum you will have a great picture of... More

Very funny and unique experience. You get a massage in the mud and then wash off in a warm lake afterwards. The landscape is lovely and makes it feel special. Be prepared to get dirty though!
