We booked this through our hostel with Chocolate Tours before reading all of these reviews. I then read the reviews and was not excited for what was to come of the evening. First off, come with a buzz or bring your own bottle because you...More

Mostly I write about the good experiences. This was not one though. We were part of a wedding party, about 150 people, more perhaps. Plans had been made in advance for a Chiva bus tour the night before the wedding after a dinner at the...More

Had a really good time on this tour. Granted, I knew what I was getting into by reading reviews. Yes, you do drive around picking up people, and the booze is cheap and the mixers are generic, but its cheap like 3 bucks an hour...More

We went on a rumba en chiva bus the last time we were in Cartagena (in 2009). We had a great time: the rum flowed and the party near Las Bovedas was great, with lots of music and dancing. As we were back in Cartagena,...More

Booked this "tour" if you can call it that through our hotel. I saw different prices online and in town, hotels was the lowest at $13/per person. Didn't have much to lose at that price. Took the 8:00pm party one. Picked us up, drove around...More

What a great experience! On the party bus, meandering through the streets of Cartagena with endless rum, Coke, and buckets of ice. Singing and dancing all the way to the music of the band in the back of the bus--and we stopped at most of...More

We took this tour because it sounded ok to see the city at night and know the places to party. You will spend most of the time driving to pick up people from the hotels, traffic is kind of heavy and drivers are a bit...More

There is a daytime chiva and a nighttime chiva, the daytime one is more historical information etc and the nighttime one is really just music, drinking and dancing (as best you can while seated on a bus!).
